The project is a model of a standard electrical substation with a voltage of 110 kV. With the help of the FEM model, it examines the loads caused by electromagnetic forces during a short circuit. This allows you to analyse the strength and select the optimal parameters of conductors and buses, insulators, devices, support structures and foundations. The functionality and cost-effectiveness of the entire system depends on this.

 

User benefits:

When calculating the electromagnetic forces of a short circuit, the stiffness of the support structure has a strong influence. The exact stiffness value can only be determined by FEM modeling. Thanks to this, it is possible to avoid errors in the types or dimensions of substation elements and significantly reduce the cost of its design.
