Simple, single story family house with loadbearing structure made of cold formed steel profiles U and C anchored to foundation structure. The house is supported on continuous RC strip foundations and the floor is a RC slab. The walls are finished with both side cladding and with insulation layer. Under the roof there is a bracing beam for horizontal forces distribution. The house is finished with a saddle timber truss roof structure, that is typically used for this kind of typified house.

User benefits:

The project is not a big scale project, but a typified project for a construction company. The main feature of Advance Design used in this project is cold form cross-section design. Climatic load generator was very helpful, as it is a typical structure covered in Eurocodes, as well as generation of combinations. At the same time RC design of continuous foundation can be done within the same model. The timber design of roof truss structure could be done in AD as well, but in this project was done externally by a supplier. The possibility to import the structure as dxf file is also very advantageous.
