Paris, 8 September 2026 – Graitec, a leading provider of BIM software solutions for architecture, engineering, construction and operations, announces that its near-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This validation confirms that the Group’s climate trajectory is aligned with science-based emissions reduction requirements.
Supported by Aktio, a specialist in corporate climate and sustainability issues, Graitec has reached an important milestone in the development of its decarbonization strategy.
This validation is part of a process initiated in 2024, when Graitec completed its first carbon footprint assessment covering the 2023 financial year. This assessment established the baseline year used to define the targets submitted to the SBTi and against which future progress will be measured.

Graitec has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions through two main pathways by 2030:
Scopes 1 and 2: a 42% reduction in absolute emissions associated with the Group’s direct operations and energy consumption.
Scope 3: a 51.6% reduction in emissions per euro of value added from purchased goods and services, including software, business travel and employee commuting.
The main reduction levers identified include optimizing office space, reducing energy consumption, transitioning the company vehicle fleet towards lower-emission models, and progressively engaging the Group’s value chain.
SBTi validation marks the beginning of a new phase focused on operational implementation. Graitec will roll out its emissions reduction plan alongside a monitoring framework designed to measure progress and report on the advancement of its climate trajectory.
In accordance with the SBTi framework, Graitec will publish an annual update on progress towards its climate targets.
“Beyond the solutions we develop to help our customers design and build more sustainably, we also have a responsibility to demonstrate leadership through our own climate trajectory. SBTi validation confirms the credibility of our commitments and marks the beginning of a new phase focused on implementation and results.”
– Manuel Liedot, CEO of Graitec
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) defines and promotes best practices in science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction. It assesses and validates corporate targets against its criteria. SBTi validation confirms the robustness of the targets set and does not guarantee that they will ultimately be achieved.
